Who We Are

  • My name is Olivia Sutton, and I have been a dedicated registered nurse since 2008, following my training at the University of Salford.

I began my nursing career at Salford Royal Hospital, where I developed a strong commitment to patient-centred care. I initially specialised in supporting patients on the National Intestinal Failure Unit, which involved managing complex stoma care, wound care, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and surgical nursing.

Over the years, I have gained extensive expertise in complex aspects of patient care, including central and enteral line management, IV therapy, venepuncture, and cannulation. I am also highly skilled in home Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), with a focus on patient safety and ensuring seamless transitions from admission to complex discharge planning.

Nursing has given me the privilege of making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives during critical moments. I am deeply passionate about supporting and advancing quality care in every setting I work in.

  • My name is Kelly, and I have been a passionate and dedicated nurse since beginning my career in palliative care at a hospice. That initial role shaped my understanding of compassionate, dignified care and highlighted the importance of supporting both patients and their families during life’s most challenging moments.

Following my preceptorship, I briefly worked in a busy hospital but quickly realised that my heart lay in palliative care. I joined Marie Curie, where I enhanced my skills in end-of-life care and developed a strong commitment to ensuring patients and their families feel supported during critical times.

A personal family experience inspired me to transition into a role supporting enterally fed patients with a nutrition company. In this role, I discovered my passion for teaching and empowering carers and family members, recognising the pivotal role they play in patient care. I firmly believe that quality training not only enhances care but also helps carers feel valued and confident.

I have also had the privilege of working on a project aimed at improving access to palliative care for homeless individuals, where I contributed to the creation of resources and helped establish vital connections between services.

These diverse experiences have led me to establish Excellence4Health, with the goal of providing outstanding training and support for healthcare workers and anyone who can benefit from it. I believe in the transformative power of education to improve care and create meaningful change. We all have something to learn from one another, and I am committed to designing training programmes that allow knowledge and compassion to flourish.
